My dad often travel overseas on bussiness. Three weeks ago he traveled to Philadelphia, the United States, and then I asked him to buy American computer magazines. Last week he sent me those things and some interesting ones.
PC Magazine and PC World are my favorite computer magazine. These magazines are very interesting unlike Japanese ones. Their article is written rationally with quantified data. On the other hand, Japanese computer magazines are written emotionally so they are funny rather than interesting.
You may say why don't they sale their magazines to Japanese readers, but I think it's very difficult. The computer generally grow rapid, so while they translate them to Japanese, their article is getting old and useless. Besides most Asian includes Japanese people are not good at thinking rationally or understanding quantified data like Western. I think that's why Japanese manga is very funny while American comics are boring.
My dad also sent me The Economist. Some people believe that it is the world's greatest magazine. But their English was too difficult for me, but I'll read it as much as possible for improve my knowledge and English ability.
